I played the game last night for 3 hours without a single crash. So this will be my temporary solution until the devs actually acknowledge this major problem and address it properly. The fan curve settings aren't as robust as Precision X's (you can only set 3 fan curve points instead of 6), but it's better than nothing. You can then use those settings to control your fan settings automatically.

So I did some research and found out that you can install "Nvidia System Tools" and it will enable device settings under your Nvidia Control Panel. And I sure as hell wasn't going to play this game without my GPU fans running. Now I know this isn't ideal, as many of us use Precision X to control our GPU fans. The game immediately crashed when I opened it. Not sure what happened but after the two recent game updates, I decided to try closing EVGA Precision X out (I had already tried this prior to the updates and it didn't work), low and behold, it solved my issue and I was able to launch the game! Just to make sure this was indeed what was causing the issue, I opened the game without Precision X running, and once the game launched, I reopened Precision X. I have tried every fix posted here on the forums as well as their "support" page outlining this issue. I've been experiencing the same crash on launch issue that so many other people on here have been experiencing.
they have set themselves up in an echo chamber. Their Zendesk environment does not output any successfully submitted ticket dialog nor does it send any updates to email.

Mate, submitting a ticket with full descriptive detail does not currently function. I don't know if opening a ticket will let Turn 10 support staff remote in to your PC's but that would help greatly. Honesty will be your best policy to follow it will save you and your support person a lot of time. Usually this is due to embarrassment but we are trained in customer service so you just smile and tell them not to worry about it no matter how silly the issue may be, I can't tell you how many times I have heard my PC won't turn on and it is because the monitor is off.
I work in IT and people do not always tell the whole truth of their issue. It certainly will not work if you do not use it, Every PC is different so you guys have no idea how hard it is to troubleshoot a PC you cannot physically look at. It remains to be seen if this will improve things but it is a step in the right direction. They have implemented a better system so use it. The more problems they can resolve the more they will build up a knowledge base of these problems and solutions. Microsoft did the impossible on PC: get worse than it was during the Games for Windows Live era. The game 'doesn't like' too much stuff on PC, it's ridiculous. Thankfully I finally stumbled upon that Reset Era post.
Then the Windows Store, the game bar and the Xbox app all updated during the weekend and. It wasn't, I played for a couple of hours with no issue whatsoever.
Then I remembered (yeah, *remembered*) I do have a Xbox One and started downloading FH4 there to see if it was a licensing/server issue. I had pretty much given up on the game and was contemplating a refund. It lists pretty much all the fixes reported here AND a BUNCH of other ones, and among these I found out my specific issue (it was the Warsaw software, uninstalling it did the trick). For anyone still struggling with this problem - which was my case until yesterday - please check this post at the Reset Era forums:
